Ya know i used to use the makita. In fact i still have my original one from ...20 years ago.. you know the long handle one.. Thing is every one that i have gotten since then has broken prematurely. So now i use dewalt and have been pretty happy. I've been thinking about getting the lithium ion ones but not sure if they are worth the dough. Since i have several dewalt 18 volt i always seem to have a charged battery available.. I think the lithium would be good to have if i used the circular saw because those are handy but seem to drain batteries really quick
